Twitch - Cirque of Fear - Application

<sub>I said I wouldn't do something like this but I did. This is my only other character. To me the Ringmaster counts as one, so I have hit the limit of three.

Relevant Personality Traits:

Twitch is very playful; he enjoys tricking people with his body. If someone goes “You look like a boy!” He will clearly state. “But sir I am a girl” and vice versa. He is not deceitful in the full sense of the word. He does not like to lie and is like to act innocent in many situations. Twitch is also not without experience. His life has been full of issues and his personality has suffered because of it. Occasionally he will have bouts of a psychological disorder call Body Dismorphic and will refuse to move from his room. This will occur usually when he is amidst a change of gender. Afterwards he is as bubbly as a Zora could be.

Another trait has to do with his culture: Twitch loves to entertain people. He enjoys the thrill of a crowd cheering. But he will do little things to make his friends laugh and be happy. Twitch enjoys teasing, but only a little bit; he will back of if the other person gets irritated or looks at him in a weird way.
Twitch is a hermaphrodite, and will have swings depending on what kinds of hormones are raging his body. Some days he will act more manly than others. His personality is a constant but at the same time it is not. He can become harder and more easily irritated when he has more testosterone running though his body, and more meek when estrogen is raging in his system. ( testosterone is the male hormone and estrogen is the female hormone.) Likely though he will only be a very happy guy because most of the time there is an equal balance between the two chemicals. Just be warned when he is more female he has a tendency to flirt with anyone who is near. It’s not really a conscious thing; just a habit he picked up when he joined the circus.

History:
Twitch’s culture was one of peace and dancing. The Clownfish Zora lived off the coast of Termina in the deeper waters, and no one bothered them. They traded with the Bay Zora’s and kept good relations with the other races that lived on land. Rarely did they exit from their watery world. But that changed when the cursed mask raged in Termina for three days, repeatedly. Their world was destroyed by the pollutant that the possessed Skull Kid created in the sea, they were forced to flee and seek shelter with the other Zora’s in the Hall. When the cursed three days were finally over many of the Clownfish Zora tried to return to their home, only to find it destroyed. So many stayed in Zora Hall trying to salvage their lost culture and acclimate into the new land that they had.

Twitch came two generations later from the migration event. His parents were actually two different Zora races. His mother was a Clownfish and his father was a regular Great Bay Zora. They got together after a rather drunken night. Being a traditional Zora man Twitch’s father married his mother, without the knowledge that every single Clownfish Zora is genetically both genders. But since Twitch’s mother had consummated and had now a child in her womb her body had fully become female for the time to carry her child. During the gestation period Twitch’s parents had a falling out, his mother explained to her husband about the truth of pure blooded Clownfish Zora. The male Zora grew increasingly angry and became obsessive with the hermaphrodite Zora. He claimed her as his and attempted to dominate her by beating her. Fearing for her life Twitch’s mother ran away from the man she had thought was a good gentleman. She escaped successfully and settled in Castle Town, after having Twitch she took up the trade that had been passed down from generation to generation, dancing. It was hard for her to raise a child and continue with a career, but she took Twitch everywhere with her and soon the little Zora. He became fascinated and began to copy his mother. She found it cute and began to teach him.

A few years later the two were finishing up with a show, and afterwards they went outside of the Milk Bar, Twitch was eleven at the time, and was excitedly talking to his mother about her performance. Suddenly a familiar Zora male walked up drunk from a side street. Twitch’s mother recognized the markings on the male and told Twitch to go back into the bar. Confused the little Zora did, only to come outside a few minutes later to find his mother dead on the ground. Horrified he ran back inside and talked to the owner of the bar, the owner called the guards and they did an investigation into the death of Twitch’s mother, but in the end they could not find the Zora who killed her. Twitch’s father disappeared.

Now an adult Twitch had fallen in love with another Zora, they got married and were living happily in Zora Hall. Twitch made a living dancing like his mother did while his husband did heavy labor for a local band. They were together for three years before tragedy struck the two of them. Twitch’s father appeared once again, and learning about his child’s happiness he became deranged and sought out the Zora who married Twitch. It was during a work day for Twitch’s husband, the other male Zora saw Twitch’s father and mistook him for a customer. But Twitch’s father quickly lured his child’s husband to a shady corner and killed him. Twitch was only twenty two years old when he lost his husband. Quickly falling into a depression he escaped Zora Hall without telling anyone or talking to the guards about the death.

Shortly after the death Twitch began to wander Termina fields, he saw a man with green hair wandering aimlessly obviously lost. The Clownfish Zora’s good natured personality urged him to assist the man, he walked up and introduced himself to the man. Who quickly reached out and grabbed his hand. The green haired man told Twitch that his name was Ryukyu and he was lost after wandering outside of his father’s tent. Confused Twitch asked why, and Ryukyu explained that he was blind; looking around Twitch saw the tents a little ways away. Bringing Ryukyu back to the circus he met the man’s father the Ringmaster. Curious about the Zora the Ringmaster gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse; to join the circus as Ryukyu’s caretaker. Twitch explained that he was also a dancer, the Ringmaster was delighted and assigned Twitch to watch over his son.

Now twenty seven Twitch has been with the circus for five years. Watching over his charge Ryukyu the entire time.

Talents: He can sing a little and mostly dances

Other: Twitch is a hermaphrodite so he has issues with switching hormones and bodily changes. He can lose his breasts and curves for a more masculine body shape. He also can have children by himself since he is genetically both male and female, but he hasn’t thought about it since he thinks of Ryukyu as his son.
